Make Your Own Binoculars

You can make your own binoculars using items found at home!

Patterson Park Audubon Center Education Manager, Erin Reed Miller, walks you through making your own binoculars using things you can find around the house. Watch the video! Get creative! Then tell us what you found when you used your binoculars to focus on your surroundings.

What you'll need:

- a grownup!

- two clean paper towel rolls (or a paper towel roll cut to size)

- rubber band OR stapler OR two paper clips OR wrapping paper cut to size (about 4x9") and tape

- hole puncher OR ballpoint pen

- piece of yarn, string, or ribbon

- scissors

- decorations!
